Product description
Royal Red Granite is an igneous stone of Egyptian origin, quarried in the Aswan region on the Red Sea coast. Its distinctive deep red hue stems from a high concentration of iron oxide and orthoclase feldspar, mineral components that form a highly stable and durable crystalline matrix. With a medium-fine grain and subtle veining, this natural stone combines visual elegance with exceptional technical properties, creating a timeless aesthetic that adds character and sophistication to any architectural project.
This granite is ideal for high-traffic residential and commercial interior flooring, wall cladding on facades and interiors, steps, risers, landscaping, and pool edging. Thanks to its virtually zero water absorption and proven frost resistance, Royal Red is perfectly suited for outdoor applications where durability and dimensional stability are priorities. Its versatility allows it to be integrated into hotel lobbies, airports, shopping centers, corporate spaces, and high-end residential projects.
The range of available finishes expands its functionality: polished for interiors with a glossy, contemporary look; matte and brushed for areas with moderate traffic; and flamed, bush-hammered, or sandblasted with R11-R12 slip-resistance ratings for wet outdoor areas, ramps, pools, and safety zones. Each finish alters the surface texture without compromising the material’s structural strength, allowing the granite to be adapted to specific design requirements and regulations.
With a Mohs hardness of 6 to 7, compressive strength of 170 MPa, bulk density of 2637 kg/m³, and high chemical resistance, Royal Red Granite delivers superior technical performance under demanding conditions. Its color is stable against UV radiation, does not fade with prolonged sun exposure, and retains its original appearance for decades. It represents a safe investment for projects where quality, aesthetics, and longevity are fundamental values.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you buy
No. The color of granite comes from mineral pigmentation in its crystalline structure, being highly stable to UV rays and does not fade with sun exposure or rain under normal outdoor conditions.
Indoor residential: 1.8-2 cm. Commercial or high traffic: minimum 2 cm. Exterior paving or heavy loads: 3 cm. All formats ≥ 60×60 cm should use 2 or 3 cm to avoid risk of breakage.
Yes, with conditions. Royal Red is frost resistant and stable in chlorinated water. Only rough finishes (Flamed, Bushhammered, Sandblasted - R11 minimum) are suitable for pool edges.
It is not mandatory, but highly recommended. With only 0.05% absorption, granite is very non-porous. A penetrating impregnating agent prolongs the life without altering the appearance.
1.8 cm → ~47.5 kg/m² | 2.0 cm → ~52.7 kg/m² | 3.0 cm → ~79.1 kg/m². Weight varies according to the thickness selected.
C2TE S1 or S2 (EN 12004) polymer modified flexible adhesive is recommended. For formats ≥ 40×60 cm use C2TE S2. Always use white or light gray adhesive.
Ideal for high traffic residential and commercial flooring, interior and exterior cladding, lobbies, airports, steps, landscaping and pool surrounds.
Polished (interior), Matt and Brushed (moderate traffic), Flamed, Bushhammered and Sandblasted (wet exterior, R11-R12). Rough finishes are slip-resistant and mandatory in swimming pools and ramps.
It comes from the Aswan region in Egypt, Red Sea coast. It is a commercial grade A granite with quartz, feldspar and mica composition.
Yes, with 0.05% absorption and resistance tested according to EN 12371, it is frost resistant. Its Mohs hardness 6-7 and compressive strength of 170 MPa make it suitable for high traffic.
